I started to sort out my stretched throttle cable tonight and noticed that the throttle return spring that sits on the vertical spindle (to which the end of the throttle cable connects) is broken and the bottom leg is missing. It's a torsion spring, does anyone know what the offset is on the top and bottom legs (i.e. should they point in the same or different directions) and more importantly any suggestions on where I can get a replacement?

[quote=Loach1]I don't know if this helps, but I found a pic on my phone of my S1:

Thanks, it's a different design on the S3, you can see the spring underneath the triangular plate:

Thats great philppot, I don't suppose you have a picture of the throttle cable connection behind the plate? On the springs, I've found a company that keeps various sizes of torsion spring in stock - they always come with straight legs, just need to bend carefully to fit.

Not sure where you mean?

On the standard set up or my "de-cluttered" modified version?
Well both would be good, as I can't figure where the spring locates on the plates of the existing layout and the "de-cluttered" version would be a longer term upgrade.
