fuel sender

Just wondered if anyone knows the right fuel sender for a s290, and the best place to get it from??
Checked the wiring out and everything was working, so it has to be the sender.

Thanks very much, the connectors on that sender look totally different to my one but it should not be too hard to change my connectors.

My sender has 1 spade connector and the live is screwed into the back of it, when I touched the spade connector to the screwed in one the fuel gauge moved to full, I tried to unscrew the screw but it was all gunked up and I will probably end up just cutting the wire.so i suppose the screwed in one will be easy to replace with another spade connector, so it should not be a problem. Thanks again, like you said, at that price I cant go wrong.

Happy days, just fitted the fuel sender phillpot recommended. Straight fit.

First of all didn't realise how much petrol I had in there, so poured it out.

before that I made sure the sender was the right one!!
For some reason its not letting me download anymore pictures!!
Easy fit though, and everything working as it should
put plenty of gasket seal around it, no leaks.

Here we go, this is the difference between the two senders, the one that was in there had been modified.

It is the MGB one that phillpot recommended, I don't think the arm is long enough to get the best accurate swing, but just below full tank will probably register as a full tank, and as far as I know at the moment I think the fuel gauge will register empty when there is about a fivers worth of juice. Not too sure at the moment as car is on sorn.

I think phillpot is right again, it will stay full until down about 3/4, but as I need it to tell me when it is empty it doesn't really matter.
