S 3 Brake lights not working

Both brake lights have stopped working. I've checked the bulbs and connectors in both rear clusters and they appear fine, all the other lights work including the reversing light which I believe is the same fuse as the brake lights ? Does that just leave a trip into the footwell for the brake light switch attached to the brake pedal, or could it be anything else ? Cheers Neil.

Thanks for the help, now all in perfect working order. Removed the offending brake light switch and managed to prise it apart to reveal very dirty contacts, a quick rub with some fine emery cloth and a smear of Vaseline then clicked it back together and refitted. Good as new !! well probably not, ordered one from ebay as suggested by Philpott just in case.
