This is a Modine oil cooler, came with a "new old stock" engine I bought. The nice thing about these is they can't over cool and actually work as an oil heater when the engine is cold, using heat from the water (that heats up quicker) to help warm the oil.

I notice you have a s/s swirl pot, what cap did you use? im having trouble with mine trying to get a good seal.
This cap.... but it leaked.

So I bought another, stripped all the "gubbins" off it and used as the blanking cap on the expansion tank and used the seal to "double up" smile

Looks fun! Much pipework needed? Remote filter would be a bonus.....
Tony, I'd already fitted the remote filter some time ago so was just a matter of cutting into the coolant pipe from the engine to the swirl pot.

Fortunately when one has the physique of a racing Whippet a little extra weight is not an issue wink

Not that easy because there is no room down by the filter for the "sandwich plate" so you will also need a remote filter kit (like me smile )

Never seen an oil cooler on another S so possibly not an essential? scratchchin

P.S. Sunday you were going to sell it? second thoughts?
