Anglesey Trackday - 7 July 2014
Discussion
Beaut day today. Sun was out all day.
Full International GP circuit in the morning and the shortened Coastal circuit in the afternoon. Speed and confidence improved all day.
One pic for now as I'm a bit tired;
600-miles traveling plus 150-miles on circuit.
Track mpg = 17.5mpg.
Traveling mpg = 31.6mpg.
Think I'll stick with super unleaded.

75-months and one post, that's top lurking!
What car were you in?
As clearly said in the briefing it's a driving pleasure event not a competative event. Frankly there was some appauling and inconsiderate driving from some of the faster guys.
Didn't let it ruin my day though. Great fun and certainly will be returning.
Great weather too.

That last photo is lovely.
Dominator? That's the model that the guy from Kit Car Crisis built and raced (iirc).
You seemed to be lapping pretty well to me. Loved both circuits but the 'drop-link' section that creates the Coastal arrangement is beaut. Tricky, but beaut. I think I kind of got the hang of it near the end of the day.
I was the last car off the circuit
I too was trying to keep out of peoples way. Luckily, atom111 had a few words of zen sageism and I maned up later on. We all paid the same amount to be there so I think it's right to expect people to only overtake when it's clear to do so and with consent on the straights.
With hindsight, I really should have reported a few guys. It's not as if the morning briefing didn't clearly state what was expected.
I may get some stickers made up for the next event. 'Jepardy Road Block' or similar.
