Out for a drive earlier on, overtaking some cyclists when car just totally died. Pulled over to the side, engine turns over fine but won't start again. Left for a few minutes & tried again. Noticed that there was no fuel pump "whine" on ignition. Delved into the fuese & relays; found a blue/purple with 20 Amp fuse gone. Tried replacing, it instatnly blew also. Firend came out to help & strapped his meter on it advises that it is going straight to earth so pump is bu****ed? Not having any mechanical nouse myself, anybody got any suggestions? on the photos it is the blue one on the left minus the fuse-is this for the pump or is it the injector fuse? If it is the pump, how does one get at it/go about replacing?

As always, your help greatly appreciated.

fuel pump is tucked away behind the n/s/r wheel, a bit of a fiddle to get at/change.

Probably worth changing the fuel filter while you're in the area wink

You're looking for something like this
Many thanks,
