TVR S renovation
Discussion
I have just joined this forum and am looking for any help, advice or guidance with a renovation that I am working, slowly. on. The car is an H reg TVR S that I have had for a year. I have had the engine running but as the car was sitting in a field for at least a year before it came to me it is in need of serious repair. I set off 9 months ago with great gusto and have removed the bonnet, brake server, disconnected many wires and cables and believe I am getting close to the point where I can lift the body off. This will enable me to take the chassis somewhere to be replaced or repaired.
I do have the Steve Heath book on the TVR S and have looked at some stuff on the internet but it still leaves me with a lot of gaps in my understanding of what I need to take off/disconnect. For example what do I need to do with the fuel tank, does it stay with the chassis or the body where is it best to disconnect it etc.
Years ago I worked on an MGB and had a Haines Manual that took me through the process step by step. If anyone can point me in the direction of where I would find something like that for the TVR or give me a fools guide to body removal that would be very much appreciated.
I look forward to any and all advice.
