In the process of finishing my S2 and the starter has packed in rolleyes I have only just replaced the stereo and was almost ready to MOT it. The top bolt on the starter is a bit fiddly and I`m not looking foward to putting that bugger back in. I need to get two headlights, complete including chrome rings, bolt in the passenger seat, clean everything up and then, drivingbiggrin.

Mike, it`s one step foward and two steps back at the moment, itching to get the S rumbling again. Thanks for the tip, it took three extenions to get the bolt out. I`ve got to get under the rear of my Chim too, it has a deep whine/rumble sound, I`m hoping it`s not to serious rolleyes perhaps a c/v or u/j.

Hi Steve,

One step forward, two steps back: You should quit the dancing lesons, & spend the time on your TVR's instead wink

Extensions: Get yourself a nice long one, it's far better than three wobbling & floppy short ones. You have more control with a long one, it's stiffer, & it makes it much easier to get it on.

Excessive whining: Leave her at home.

Rumbling sound from the rear: Nothing to worry about, I get that all the time. Possibly we both need more dietary fibre?
Or it could be the exhaust wink

Hi Glen, I had to replace the diff on my S a few years ago, also u/j and c/v, so I`m prepared for it. I`m used to exessive whining at the rear, it`s part of being married wink
