Chaps I know it seems like I'm always after another new part, well basically its because I am,its a never ending quest it seems although quite enjoyable!

I've bought a new hood and I've managed to get the following from Doug at David Gerald.

• Rubber trim around the top edge of the hood
• Two door seals where it meets base of windows
• Both horseshoe rubbers
• Rubber seal for centre of targa panels

What I don't have is the foam strips for the targa's but I can probably sort something else that would work and more importantly the rubber seals on the sides of the targa panels that meet the tops of the windows! Being an S1 mine are windey up windows and the glass keeps pressing against these rather than sitting under. I'm thinking originally these seals would have protruded at a better/shallower angle but now they are quite flat I've been moving the windows down slightly when locking up to avoid this, but its far from ideal.

How have you S1 (1.5) owners got around this one on manual winding , has anyone fitted a motor to drop and raise the last bit when unlocking and locking?

Like most questions I'm sure this has been covered already at some point but ideas most welcome.

this is what the seal between targa panels and window glass should look like.....

Compared to this stuff front indicators, servo's and throttle cables are "ten a penny"!

Good luck with the conversion to electric + auto drop and raise wink
