I'd be eternally grateful if you could all measure the clearance between the tip of the scuttle, and the top of the plenum at the rear edge. I've fitted new engine mounts and it's sitting a bit higher than before, but having only just put the body back on I want to try and figure out what the limiting factors are each way before I adjust it - in other words, how much room have I got to clear bonnet. I can't easily refit the bonnet as all the brackets/hinges are in bits, and the bonnet is hanging off the roof!
Had access to one other S1 and the measurements were a fair bit different, but the engine mounts look like they've sagged on that one. I've got a good 10mm between the sump and the anti-roll bar too.

Thanks to anyone who can assist!

Thanks Barry! I'm about the same measurement from the ARB to the sump, but a bit taller on the engine to the body. Have measured the new mounts and they're definitely the same size as before. Have tweaked the rubber mountings and have got it sitting better, though it's still higher than it was before, but that could be because my old mounts were sagging of course.

Happy for now, cheers smile
