Will this fit?

I am looking to replace the panel light switch on my S3.
This is of the same size and type:

Will it just plug in and do the job?

It's a master light switch,i.e. Off/side lights / side and head.....so,yes,both circuits live in the third position,BUT I want it to replace the panel light switch which is Off/dim/ bright,so not sure if that is compatible...not too good on car electrics!!!

Yes,on the S3 it's that type of switch in the centre.(no front fogs on mine)
So I'lll go for it.

Good point. These switches are pretty robust and can be taken apart for cleaning. before you splash out on a new switch simply pull off the wires, work out which is the live and then connect it to the others and see what happens.

I know what you mean.
I've had experience with these type of switches before,they are on later Scimitars.
I found that once they start failing then cleaning them is only a temporary fix.
If they were really expensive I'd persevere but for the sake of £15 or so I think I'll go for a new one.
