I can't claim the credit for this idea but it's such a good one it has to be shared smile

If you have been thinking of forking out for a shiney oil filler cap, STOP! Try this first. If you melt off the grotty orange plastic this sparkling little gem is underneath...

On the other hand, if you have just shelled out over 50 quid on a new one, I'm sure it's much nicer. But more than £45 nicer? laugh

Did you have to polish the bit underneath, and if so, with what?
A bit of de-burring with a fine file followed by a good going over with the buffing wheel and then finish off with Solvol. A good result for about half and hours work.

Plus a week of redecorating for Alan laugh

How much?!!! yikes I paid £3.00 on Ebay, plus postage. The 'O' was knackered though so I'll have to get a new one of those. I suppose that will cost me another quid laugh
