Discussion
According to the description this does NOT fit an S (although the correct gear pattern).

Can it be made to fit a V6 S or if not can anyone suggest an similar one that will fit?

Somebody on here was making them a year or so ago with the V6 gearbox pattern on them and the correct thread, I bought one. Looks fantastic! (Much better than the rubber Sierra one!) Only problem is it faces the wrong way Need to stuff something in the thread to sort it!
Don't bother with the universal ones with a grub screw, it will vibrate out and leave you grabbing a handful of nothing (ask me how I know )
Agreed, the grub screw ones tend to come loose.Don't bother with the universal ones with a grub screw, it will vibrate out and leave you grabbing a handful of nothing (ask me how I know )
If a screw on one faces the wrong way then just keep wrapping it with PTFE tape until it tightents up the right way!

Isn't the S gear linkage just a bit of bent flat plate with a bar welded to it?
Cut off the bar weld in a thicker one with the right thread.
Bit of the proverbial sledgehammer to crack a nut?Cut off the bar weld in a thicker one with the right thread.
I've pm'd the guy who had a batch of the correct knobs made in 2012
