Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me what hoses they have used in place of Nos 32 and 33 (in the diagram in FAQs).

I have managed to replace the other main hoses with rubber and I would prefer to use rubber for these 2, though I suppose it would do no harm to use silicon if I have to.

No 32 is shown as "Waterpump to Thermostat" and is noted in the FAQ as 25mm ID.
No 33 is the "bottom of waterpump area to steel pipe" it is shown as 15mm ID but the one on my S2 looks quite a bit larger at the top end, even allowing for its poor condition and apparent bulge. (I would prefer not to remove it to check until I have a replacement on hand).

any suggestions gratefully received

best regards

Don

Thanks everybody. I have just come in from garage and found the splendid response. I think I will have to bite the bullet and get in touch with the people who sell the silicon hose kits to see if they will sell me just these two hoses - hopefully in black. otherwise I may make up an adapter and possibly the bend from copper pipe/copper fittings and use short lengths of rubber hose to attach. (I need to think this through in case this will set up a galvanic corrosion cell).
Thank you Phillpot, foot2firewall and Maffey for the ideas and advice. Unfortunately the ad on ebay did not include the hoses I need but I will wait a few days to see how the bids for the swirl pot go, and may bid, as I think I could adapt it to replace my dodgy plastic expansion tank.

Thanks again

You are right of course, and the good old corrosion inhibitors keep it all in fine fettle. I also agree about new hoses. Thanks
