I'm in the hunt for a front screen and found out that a mate had one fitted a little while ago - I didn't know it was heated 'til recently.

One off is £330 and 6 to 8 weeks delivery.

I have asked for prices for 5 and 10 and will post those when I receive them

The wires within the screen are like those in a Ford Focus - almost invisible. Check out Ricky Evans Motorsport. Or goooogle heatedwindscreens.com

From the comments above.....are the S screens the same as Chimps? Also Ricky does not have stock ones; they are made to order which is why they quoted 6 to 8 weeks.

Didn't say they are Chinese. Just 3 months delivery. Ricky Evans Motorsport is British.

No idea on that....all I can say is that someone I know has had one fitted a couple of years ago and although he is pleased I have not seen it.

Pilkington don't do heated. I have ordered one with green top tint. Will photo the install.

I stand corrected - obviously Pilkington DO heated screens 'cos that's what came today!!

now fitted along with new wipers and a pair of chrome mini washer jets.

I went for the plain black rubber trim

All I need to do now is wire the thing up!!

wires are through the scuttle and connected to a 'Puma' wiring with relays - I need to run positive and install a switch.

no fettling done, it sat quite nicely but the gap varied from near 10mm to near 2mm and due to wanting to drive to Spa on Thursday decided this was a reasonable solution - certainly better than the original st filling the gap.

And that trim looks very retro and in keeping with the age/look of the car - would loved to have had time to look at the choices though.

not cheap but they are Pilkington XXX and mine fitted fine.

I have connected the wiring (needs connecting as the screen is being fitted) but not yet energised it

I just ebayed 'Ford heated screen wiring' and purchased a while before the screen turned up. Then just measured where to make the holes through the scuttle. Very fiddly as you have to poke the wiring through from under the dash to connect to the screen then pull back through as the screen is lowered into position.
