First night of installing my 4 post lift.

My back is still in one piece, just. Some, no all the bits are bloody heavy.

Lift is working, not been tested with a car yet, that is tomorrow's task.
Looks good, need to fettle the on /off ramps due to steep drive and low car.
Will post more pics hopefully tomorrow

Hi Keith,

No, don't think so! The tape measure says not, about 150mm to spare!

Have you started digging for the showroom yet?

Next little milestone, just waiting for the drip trays.

It's all a bit snug.

Simon,
The company is Strongman Tools, the lift is a "Findhorn 4 post lift" but shorter and narrower over the posts than standard, although I kept the ramp centres as standard so I can add a ramp jack at a later date. It should also come with a set of removable drip trays.

I believe since ordering my lift they have brought out a version with thinner ramps, which would have been better for my headroom issues.

If you look around there are cheaper lifts available, but I saw these at the classic car show and liked the quality and robustness of it and decided on this one. Can't fault it yet, it went together as it should and works well.

Hope this helps

Andy
