Earlier this evening I had the rear jacked up, engine running and in gear spinning the back wheels. This was partly to allow me to pump the brakes to reset the rear adjusters after cleaning them up.

I noticed that the offside wheel was rotating but the nearside was stuttering along. I jammed the offside and the neardise started up. I released the offside, it spun up and the nearside slowed to a crawl.

I am guessing the nearside is slightly tighter fitting on the drum.

I took it for a 10 minute spin and checked the drums on return; they were warm, as I would expect, as I live at the bottom of a long hill and have to brake all the way down. They spin freely when jacked up and rotated by hand.

Something about average rotational speed of the propshaft fleetingly comes to mind.

Anything to worry about?
