We had arranged to borrow a gazebo from the TVRCC for the SCH 2015 weekend at Stoneleigh on 2/3/4th May, but they have told us it has been damaged at the weekend and is no longer fit for purpose.

Does anybody have one they would be willing to lend us for the event?

I have procured a small one, but we need a bit more shelter in case the sun is too intense for our sensitive skins / solar head panels / whatever.

PM Alan461 or myself if you can help.

Thanks,
Glen smile

Well, in that case, I'll match Ray's two fivers wink
That's a bit more shelter space for both of us!

Mike, If we get to the magic number, can you order it Mike, and bring it to erect before the big day?
I won't have any space left in Austin, what with all the other gubbins I'm bringing on the Saturday.

ETA: Thanks for the offer Mick, but logistics could be a problem.

Thanks for the offers Ray, but I think Mick only has one available.;)

We'll wait and see if Phillpot can get the one he mentioned.

This forum is brilliant!
Far better than some express couriers I can think of......

Edit:
In fact, at least twice as good!

I have a party tent type thing , think its about 6m x 3m , detachable sides etc .
Your welcome to it if option one doesn't happen or if your go for creating an S type tented village .woohoo
Dale
I rather like the sound of that Dale.....
We could have a nice comfy lounge area for the GTS members to snooze, and a gazebo with bars to enclose the Bank Robbers, and another labelled Area 51 for an audience with Joe wink
We'll have to see if Stoneleigh will allow such a vast nomad encampment.
Can we get back to you on that one?

Han, that's a very kind offer, but won't you be tucking in to a delicious full English breakfast?
England expects nothing less from it's honoured guests smile

Brilliant response folks, at this rate we'll have so many gazebos that there won't be any space for cars..... That will make the organising so much easier wink

Dale, yes please, can we take you up on that?
Are you attending SCH? If not we'll have to get someone to pick it up from Mycroft Towers.

scratchchin
Also the mice, they will come in handy for the barbie......or raffle prizes

Hi Glen
Won't be able to be there but I have a raffle prize for you, Just need to find a kind person to give it to who is passing leeds ( and won't stop on the way and drink it).

Alan

Alan,
If somebody picks that up from you and brings that bottle and all of its contents intact to SCH, I shall buy ALL the raffle tickets myself. But that might not be allowed.... Somebody better bring a crowbar in case I get my mitts on it....

Thanks mate, that's a wonderful gesture bow

Edit: I've just seen the full label. yikes
It will need an armed escort from Leeds and two security guards standing by it at all times. And be kept well away from me!

I have the SY gazebo in my garage somewhere if you need even more canvas! Seriously, you can pick it up from me or I can bring it down on the Sunday.
Hopefully, won't need it myself though I have yet to check my own tent for camping!
Tony.
Hi Tony,
Is it quite a substantial one with sides, and what size is it?
The one promised to me is a roof only 3x3m affair, but does fold down to fit in a compact bag.

Had a reply from my friend, it's looking good hoping to collect early next week.

Same sort of style as Simons, about 4.5 x 4.5 metres and 2.5 tall in the centre.
Yes please, that would be marvellous Mike.

Great forum, great people.

Glen,

Also have an auction prize to donate - I tried to think what would be useful for most people so have some axle stands..

Ray
hehe
Ray,
That's brilliant, thanks very much.

Longers, even though you won't be there, you have to buy some raffle tickets by proxy, to try and win those for your future feats of technical derring-do! hehe

Was only planning to come on Monday . I will get it out of the shed and check its all there and intact before we arrange drop/collect/delivery issues.
That's very kind of you Dale, please let me know asap, and we'll try to arrange a suitable S courier.

Thanks for the fantastic response everyone, so far the favourites are
1. Phillpot's borrowed 4.5 x 4.5m ( size is important wink )
2. Dale's 6 x 3m with sides ( size again plus sides to stop the paperwork blowing away )
3. Tony arhTVR's 3 x 3m Yes please Max can you collect it?
4. The 3 x 3m one I am borrowing ( if I can fit it in with the rest of the stuff I am bringing: - If I had a roof I could fit a roof rack biggrin

I think that should be sufficient coverage and also cover contingencies if one should fail.
Thanks everyone else who offered.

Now then, can anyone bring folding tables? whistle
And you are bringing the obligatory camping chairs aren't you? wink

No problem , better go and see if the mice have left it intact .
Dale has informed me today that his 6 x 3m party tent has been ruined by the mice having a mouse party, and it is no longer fit for purpose frown .

So I want to let you all know that the search is back on to find replacement coverage, preferably, but not essentially with side panels.
If you can help, please let me know either on here or email me via my profile page.

Lovin' the uniformity of gazebo compatibilityness guys, keep 'em coming!

Now aiming for a genuine Bedouin encampment.

Note to self:
Must arrange tethering posts for camels.
