1st August - S Club mini meet in Buxhall, Suffolk?
Discussion
Hi
Some of you will have met Paul & Damian and Paul's silver Boxster (it's a Boxster "S" so it's not all bad!) at the Spa Classic last weekend.
What you might not know is that Damian has an MG Midget but after driving my S in Belgium he is now on the look out for one
Paul & Damian live in Buxhall near Stowmarket and it is the village fete on Saturday 1st August 2015 at 2.00pm. Damian has said it would be great to have a some TVRs attend to make a display. I know that some of you in the area are usually looking for an excuse to get together, drive your S's, kick tyres, etc so I thought I'd start a topic to see if anyone is interested. Maybe combine it with a run out in the morning then head to Buxhall for lunch...?
I might be able to get there myself but my plans for August are still very much TBC.
Damian will need to know car details and names if you want to attend. You can email me through my profile and I'll put you in touch with him.
I'm not sure if this is simply a cunning ploy by Damian to check out some other examples of the S Series before buying one but the events wiki is empty that weekend so hopefully there will be some interest
Cheers,
L'rs

Will there be hoopla, hook-a-duck, a lucky dip, a wheel of fortune, a coconut shy & bowling for the pig?
Oooh, I hope so!

So how many confirmed idiots S Clubbers are going then?
I'm not sure Glen, I don't know if there will be any in addition to those who have commented in this topic.glenrobbo said:
Are we having a little run out and a swift pub lunch before the main event?
I had exactly the same thought over the weekend so emailed Damian for more info. I'll let you know when I hear from him It'll be good to see you again Gary, plus whichever member of your family you decide to bring with you this time
Gents,
I'll be leaving home 10.15 and heading south on A1 then A14. Happy to meet up with anyone on that route - Big Ian, Kev and (possibly) Dale plus any others?
Rather than cause confusion by turning up separately at the pub in Buxhall my suggestion would be to meet at the Chestnut Horse in Great Finborough so we're ready to leave there 12.45 (my ETA will be 12.00). It's only a couple of gear changes from there to Buxhall so we can arrive together before 13.00 as requested by Damian. Once the cars are parked we can grab a bite to eat at the pub in Buxhall (I'm having my tea there as well! ) or crack open the picnics, etc.
If anyone reading this wants to join us and has not received the Vehicle Info form from Damian drop me an email through my profile and I'll send you a copy.
Also, if you have already contacted Damian to say you were going but cannot attend please let me or him know asap.
Cheers,
L'rs

I've checked and the fete has it's own website! Full details here... http://www.buxhallfete.co.uk/2015.htmlJeremy

Also featuring ... a tempting range of refreshments with hot & cold foods and drinks ... homemade cakes
TVRs, sunshine and homemade cakes followed by "several" beers in the evening. Tomorrow is gonna be a tough day Wouldn't be like you to be late or rushing at the last minute Terry!
I assume you'll be in the Intergrowler? If you are I can guess who is going to be the loudest, revviest and poppingist big kid in the parade...
I'm off to rub expensive creams & lotions all over the body of my curvy beauty. See you all later

Gents, it was great to see you all yesterday. For me this was a chance to catch up Paul C, I certainly didn't expect so many of you to turn up when I started this topic!
