Hi everyone,

I need to remove the Headlamps of my 1990 S2 to fit LHD ones. I have a copy of Stve Heath's bible which states 'refer to the Owners' Handbook to remove the external chrome trim', but I have no handbook.
HOW DO I GET ABOUT TO REMOVE THE EXTERNAL CHROME BIT WITHOUT DAMADGING ANYTHING?

Many thanks for your help.
Regards,
Geoffrey

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll have a try tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted on how I get on.
TVRees, thanks for the PDF Handbook. I bought them from Mini Spares LTD in the UK. Reference S4699B. Beware, they are sold as a pair (kit). I didn't realize that and ended up with 4 headlamps. If you're interested, I have a pair for sale.

Regards,

Geoffrey

My S3C has the holes aswell, always assumed someone had drilled them once upon a time...
Hi everyone,

Inspection reveals, mine has the hole. Very handy which makes the job a real doddle.

However, on one headlamp there is 1 rectangular piece of metal (20mmm by 25mm) that is missing (there are 3 by headlamp). This holds the glass lens assembly to the inner chrome headlamp assembly.
Would anyone of you experts know where I can buy one of these?

Many thanks for your help.

Regards,

Geoffrey

Could I buy a couple from you? I just need one, but one as reserve would be handy.;)
