Have you tried a pair of levers (or screwdrivers) behind it and lever off square and evenly, may have been a bit loose 'n floppy with worn splines and some one has Araldited it on?
Can anyone comment as to whether that looks like an original style handle or a "go faster" aftermarket item?

Yeah the hidden bolts there but its already free as I jiggle the door trim only area that feels tight in is the window winder, haven't got a clue how to get it off as unscrewing it didn't work.. S1 owners please come to my rescue! 2days trying to get this door trim off and still no luckWhere are all the S1 owners when you need them

However, I would have thought that with the centre screw removed from the winder spindle, the winder should just pull straight off.
Put something behind it to protect the trim and try carefully and evenly levering it off.
Some cars have a pin which can be pushed out of the winder spindle stem, usually square drive, not splined. This pin is accessed by pressing the trim back to expose the winder stem, but this type wouldn't normally have a centre screw as well.

Hi, thanks for the reply, yeah I would of thought it would prize off but it seems to be in solid and im weary of damaging the door trim. Is there anyone local to Birmingham who could possibly come and help me? Auto parts shop usually sell a kit of plastic interior removal parts. There is one that lets you pry off the handle without damaging the plastic covering.
Hi, literally the only thing holding it in place is the manual winder itself? The rest of the door card is free from end to end and all plastic plugs from the bottom have been free'd. I'll have another go tomorrow at prizing it off it does lift up abit but just that damn manual winder is keeping it from being free'dAuto parts shop usually sell a kit of plastic interior removal parts. Hi, the manual winder literally won't budge? It's tight to the interior door card making it difficult to get anything down the back to prize it forward but I'll persevereglenrobbo said:

If you decide on the latter, in the meantime you could leave the window slightly open and put a top cover over the roof to keep it dry

Managed to prize it off but didn't see no 'clip' at all. Readjusted the glass to best I could (still wasn't completely water tight when car door was closed) I found it just kept dropping the one end maybe needs a rubber packer of some sort to counter balance it. Had a quick look at passenger side and there's a tiny lil gap when doors closed there too at the top of glass at one end. Drivers side door is really stubborn to shut propley takes a good slam and has an awful creak so maybe the door has dropped a lil too..
