My local TVRCC Region the High Peak Nomads have organised an exciting weekend of scenic driving, taking in the Yorkshire Dales, Northumbria, and Cumbria, incorporating an overnight stop at the luxury Whitewater Hotel in Ulverston/ Backbarrow at preferential rates for the Saturday night, BBED or BB only. On Sunday morning we shall visit the nearby Lakeland Car Museum where TVR 2 and the Speed 12 are on display amongst other interesting machinery.

Hope my link works, first attempt at this hi-tec stuff wink Please read down the thread, this trip was originally planned for last May.

The full itinerary is available from our RO, Richard ( tvrvxr on here )

If you wish to join us, you will need to contact the hotel to book your accommodation, quoting the code mentioned in the topic, and confirm your place so Richard has an idea of numbers.
Places are limited, so don't leave it too late.
Tees Valley TVRCC members are already showing keen interest. thumbup

Hinge is still in perfect condition ! I am sure these 2 trips would prove the bodge will hold;-)
Since I am not sure I can have it fixed before Eurotour, I will leave it "as is" so anyone interested can have a look at your amazing work..

Cheers, Han
Han, I'm afraid that your bonnet bodge only comes with a two year guarantee. If you wish to have the additional vertical reinforcing strip fitted, as well as the anti-corrosion treatment, this would extend the warranty to five years from the date of the initial bodge, providing you also opt for the ( very expensive )additional annual inspection package.

Please don't show everyone, they'll all be wanting a new bonnet bodge. wink

Hi Glen,
The Blackpool Region would like to join you for some of the weekend? We intend to drive up to the museum and have lunch there, then take a cruise from Lakeside up to Bowness and back on one of the steamers. We then intend to have a meal at the Swan Hotel at Newby Bridge before setting off back home.

Are you intending to go to the museum on the Sunday? You can get a good discount for groups so it is worth enquiring. I will let you know the number of "Blackpudlians" coming post our next meeting on the 20th of September.

Best Regards
Dave Welton

Hi Dave,
Yes we are intending to visit the museum after Sunday breakfast at the nearby Whitewater Hotel. Our High Peak TVRCC RO, Richard Walton, has negotiated reserved parking for us at the Museum, and group discount depending on numbers, so the more the merrier. He would appreciate it if you could get in touch with him to discuss arrangements and prospective numbers. e: ro@tvrcc-highpeak.co.uk
Richard has also negotiated a discounted rate at the hotel if any of your guys would like to join in the tour on the Saturday and enjoy an evening dinner and overnight stay at the Whitewater.
Looking forward to seeing you all thumbup

Edited to correct hotel name.... Doh!

Looks like I need to fix a meeting point in the Padiham area for me, presumably you are coming up the last bit on the M66?. On Sunday, after Clitheroe, are you going back the same way? (doubt you would go M6 way, shame as it would virtually pass my house! No, no, no...I do not have enough mugs!)
Hi Richard,
I'll have a word with Richard W. at our Wednesday High Peak evening meet, and fix a rendezvous time someplace convenient if you know of a suitable place? Yes, we will be coming up the M66 ti get to the good bits a bit quicker.
And on the return, we think the Trough of Bowland sounds more interesting than the M6.
Have you booked your place at the Whitewater Hotel yet?

PS, Got your email, will call you tomorrow for a chat.
