Rear Wheel Bearing Orientation

As the title really. I have all new bearings to go in my new rear hubs, and I'm assuming they fit in both sides 'back to back' as it were. Then dust covers after?

I confess the bearings I've used before are sealed units and orientation has never mattered. I'd hate to mess up something so simple...!

So for the avoidance of doubt, would they go in like this...!?



And then the other side in the same direction - ie outer race on the left?

Same for the other side.

Narrow end of the taper to the centre.

E.T.A. Don't be tempted to use the bearing to press in the casing, this can damage the rollers/casing resulting in a noisy bearing and totally wasted job.

This was with the ford manual too - poor from me! Sadly they don't show you and exploded diagram and it was difficult to see which way around they meant...
