Where have all the TVRs for sale gone?

When I bought my V8S 11 years ago, I had a choice of about 6 or 7 V8s for sale, about 2 dozen V6s and all the other models were pretty well-represented in the PH classifieds, on TVR Webmart, Autotrader, on the car club website, etc.
What's happened? They're all relative deserts now.
Have so many been wrote off, or are people keeping them longer?
Are the V8 prices on the rise? Do we know how many V8S cars are left on the road?
