I'd set all of today aside to refit the Tasmin tank and so in preparation I ordered new fuel hose from ASH on Tuesday stressing the importance of guaranteed delivery this morning. I've used them in the past and been quite happy with their service. I specifically requested Parcel Force 48 Hour because I know how reliable it is. Despite assurances that that's how the order would be sent, the tocensoreders sent it by YODEL for delivery on or before 30th. YODEL! is there a worse delivery service? When I called ASH earlier they told me they don't use Parcel Force. So why didn't they say that on Tuesday? So the moral of the tale; YODEL are as bad as ever and I'm never buying from ASH again.grumpy Other hose suppliers are available etc....

Maybe I'm lucky with Parcel Force, on deliveries and when I've sent stuff, it's turned up when it's supposed to and on my delivery route anyway, the guy will leave the package in the porch or with a neighbour if I leave a note. The issue here is the bacensoredds at ASH accepted my order knowing I wanted it delivered guaranteed 48 hours so it would be here today knowing full well that they weren't going to send it Parcel Force as I requested and would be using a courier with a 2 or 3 day service. As I said bacensoredds ! IMHO

So the YODEL guy finally turns up at 6.20pm. The bag is split and the short length of 16mm hose is missing. The guy doesn't speak English and just shrugs his shoulders. Unbelievable! would be the expected response, but we are talking about YODEL here, so totally believable.

As a further warning on this one. The ASH phone number turns out to be a premium rate number. So my calls chasing my missing delivery added up to an additional £7.95.

OK so they refunded the postage but that was only £4.00 (explains the crap delivery service!) so the calls aren't covered. Anyway, premium rates on a customer services line? Shabby. And, after two weeks there is still no acknowledgement or reply to my letter of complaint.

Buyer beware.
