Has anyone painted their Boot with Boat Paint, something like the Bilge and Locker stuff as it is to be used on Fibreglass?
Just wondered as my Boot carpet is a mess and I may run without it for awhile, will sort it once other more important bits are done (which will take a while) and the Fibreglass can be annoying unless wearing gloves laugh
Thought it wouldn't take much to get a lick of paint in the boot and the various brands of paint made for use on boats and in particular the bilge and lockers would be tough enough.

Personnaly I wouldn't waste time or money painting it, there'll be glue residue, carpet fluff and of course the rough side of the fibreglass. Virtually as quick to re-carpet with something like cheap exhibition carpet?

I have some you could have but you're a bit of a distance from me, post/carriage may make it un-viable?
Thanks for the offer, yes distance is a problem.

mmmmm, tempting, I didn't like the look of all the odd shapes etc, although I have had the sense to take my old one out carefully and have kept it for a template.

I see you have also done the boot lid smile

The bare fibreglass would look abit tacky (abit like my inner bootlid did) could always try a different colour carpet too?
Kind of wish I done my interior colours now.. brown with magnolia leather trim etc certainly tidies it up along with a wheel cover off Phillpot wink
Do you have your spare wheel held in place in anyway?
Looks like I have something bolted to the back of the wheel arch that may be used for something on the fuel filler side, always wondered what it was for smile

DONT paint it, you will regret it if you ever come to carpet it. The carpet spray glue will almost certainly react with the paint and your carpets wont stick.
Before carpetting do the A.R.S.E. mod, makes a hell of a difference.
Good point about the glue.

I had been against cutting the hole for the roof panels, even said so somewhere on here. But after using my S more and the pain of the poor roof storage I am going to go for it and do it, and yes while all the carpets are out. I have been looking for a thread with a few recommended measurements and ways to do it but cannot find it. I don't want to go messing something up....
Any known links that would help me please?

I did see the charges, unfortunately that is often the case when you see a good deal on something.
Packing and delivery charges from the majority of suppliers will only get worse as time goes by.....
