I'm looking to replace both the bottom and top column plastics on my 2.9 S2, they are very near to end of life items.

I have checked this sight and the parts list with no real info on what models fit what.

On E Bay.item no 252526067714 is very similar and listed as a Ford Sierra Sapphire 4 X 4 Cosworth,
however, it is not the same around the connecting pieces.

The plastics on the car I understand are an original Ford item that has obviously been cut down and adapted to fit the Steering column
but what model, year etc fits it.when replacing and any idea where I can search for the item on sights in the UK.

Many thanks

I have a part number on the bottom piece of 83 88 3533 BA1

I would suggest I have a better chance of finding these over here due to the older cars lasting so much longer.

The problem of course is everything is done on computer from your reg no and when they enter it and see TVR they just look blank at you.

Then u explain that its a kit car made up of parts from other cars and the blank look gets even blanker!!

But if I could tell them what they are looking for I may be in with a chance..

Ref the South of Spain yes its lovely and for a change its rained on and off for the last 2 days, so the plants are happy.

Must admit so am I because I am fed up of watering them..

Sorry also forgot to say, yes at a push I could glue all the pieces together and cover it all over with a vinyl or something but I do fear that the strength of the parts will be lost.

Lol, yes the plants can be a bit difficult when clogging the foot well..

Ref the parts and selling abroad yes that's one of my plans, I have two scrap yards finding MX5 seats for me at the mo and if I can I will get as many parts available as I can for the columns.

Obviously and if this works I wont need them all and monthly trips back to the Uk are readily available.

I have a right hand drive originally registered in the UK and exported here.

Ref my last post I take it that the pic shows the items after being cut to fit!!

The reason I ask is that after looking at page 10.13 Suspension and Steering in the Ford Sierra V6 Haynes manual it show two pics 18.3a 18.3b of the shrouds being taken off and they look identical to yours and mine.

Not Being awkward just trying not to confuse the poor Spaniard in the scrap yard when I have been telling him that the item he is searching for may not look like the ones I have brought in for him to compare!! hope that makes sense.
