changing gear oil

O/H Rick tried yesterday to take out old gear oil &replace.Tried suction but couldn't get hardly anything out (no drain plug).only thing he could do was to top it up with new, as knotchy gear change, Anyone have any other ideas I did see the V8 s post of changing the clutch oil aswell

Thanks for that info,the clutch oil was on a V6 s top up post,not the V 8 I was looking at several posts, cheers

It was hydraulic fluid,I was reading from one post to another looking for help on the gear oil problem ,what Rick did do hasn't made much difference,he took the car out for test drive ,so it's back to the drawing board,cheers for now
