My fater went along with a friend (2 sheds) to see an S2 yesterday advertised for £5200. Apparently the Chassis, was ummm... terminal. So that being my only lead so far, with ok mileage, it seems my progression from Mini, to Polo, to TVR will have to halt at Polo for a while.

Have seen a few in the PH classified, but they seem to be a bit on the high mileage side. I know people say it doesn't really matter but, I do want somthing on the lower side, as I will be using it as my everyday and only car. Also my dad is a bit reluctant for me to go for anything with mileage that high, as I will be taking a loan to buy it. As a 2nd car with my own money ok, but not as a first with a loan. I may end with a shopping trolly. Seeing as I have applied for the loan with set amount and can't change it.

I kind of have to play off hope against necessity. My parents really need their car back ASAP so if I can't find one soon, it may be to world of the shopping trolly for me.

Is it worth going for an S rather than an S2?

Kieran, where did you see the car? I was pretty sure I checked out most places.

I will give the guy a ring, asap. I'm off to London i a week as I'm from there, so the whole country is pretty accessible for me. My dad can check ones out in the south.
