Apologies for the boring thread - I'm looking for some advice, as I don't know London that well! Ironically, I'm not actually going to Earl's Court, but I'm staying in a hotel nearby.

I could ... Park in Reading (gf lives there), pay approximately £30 for parking and catch the train into London. However by the time I've paid for two railcards, overall travel costs will be around £70! As this is PH, obviously I'd much rather drive in. Not taking petrol into account, I reckon it might be cheaper too!

The question is, does anyone know of a good car park nearby? If so, is it relatively safe and what sort of fees could I expect? Would you drive in, or just get the train?

Cheers! thumbup

Which day/s of the week will you be there? Some relatively central areas have no parking restrictions from about 6pm on a Friday night all weekend.
I'm heading there tomorrow night for a Birthday party, then leaving Sunday afternoon smile

ETA: Apparently the EC car park is for events only; you have to choose an event to book a place. I guess turning up and leaving the car overnight could be an issue ... ?

Have you checked with the hotel, a lot of them having deals with nearby car parks.
I've just called the hotel and they have suggested the Holiday Inn Kensington for parking! Forgive me for my lack of knowledge, but isn't it a bit rude to park at a hotel you're not staying at? I can only find prices for 12 hours, which is £33. However the Millennium Gloucester is nearby, appears on Parkopedia and is apparently £37 for 24 hours ... Bargain! biggrin
