All, just a quick questions:

Just looking at the rules for congestion charge excempt cars, you need to be below 75g/km CO2 and Euro 5 compliant.

So, what about if you own a car that is not type approved and has no CO2 data on the V5? Who is the onus of proof on to prove it is either above or below 75g/km CO2 output? Proving Euro 5 compliance also, how can this be done on a non type approved car?

Does anyone have experience in this area, not finding much on google.

Anything with no type approval is taxed as about or bellow 1400cc ( or 1499 can't remember).
What car's it for?

Mine has no CO2 data on the V5 but wouldn't risk it.

My guess is it's down to you to prove
It's taxed on the old CC system, and is in the higher bracket. It's an import from outside of the EU, so no EU data on it.

I spoke to a customer services person at CCLondon and they didn't know the answer themselves, so I've emailed CCLondon and directed the question at the discounts team, who deal with all the exemptions. I'll see what they say and report back.
