US folk coming to London

I've got some work colleagues coming to London for a few days. Any suggestions/ideas on really cool pubs/restaurants they could go to, as well as places to see.

They're middle-aged (if that's relevant)

We both drink beer and wine, primarily. I love ales, in particular.
