Builder, Morpeth area, 1980's

Bit of a longshot but there was a housebuilder in the Morpeth area in the 1980's (think they were taken over by Cussins?).
Seem to remember they build part of Whitegates in Longhorsley
Question came up at work and for the life of me I cannot find anything on the WWW or in the back of my head.

Hi, the obvious choice I suppose but Billy Leech isn't who I was thinking of.
W Leech were taken over by Persimmon after Billy retired.
No it was a smaller firm I think but it may have began with the letter L.
