it has an all steel 2.3 n/a cosworth duratec in it, spc box, weightwise guessing around 530kg (confirmed 2mrw getting corner weight set up as doesnt handle very well at mo ) at a recent mapping session it made 340bhp but Im yet to get this confirmed by a set of rollers I trust 100%, will get it up to Mcdonald racing shortly.. whatever the figures it grafts a bit bounce

was over that way maybe Monday ? I was doing some research into what speed is achievable coming off the roundabouton 2 wheels going up to the bridge using the bridge as the backing off point, my research revealed that a supercharged Elise is actually 6 mph slower than a diesel bmw and 18mph slower than a new M5 between the 2 points but still managed a respectable speed all the same!

All good thanks. I'd imagine most things are going to feel slow after the Busa and Caterham. Its the biggest problem with owning cars like that, everything else feels a bit pedestrian!
yep but thing that narked me most on the Elise was it was a big chunk of money sat that didnt excite me it stood 2 weeks without me evn looking at it frown and tbh my diesel beemer was as quick up the bypass than it was so not inspiring to go for a blat! the ride was soooooooooooooooooooo hard, everytime you hit a bump it felt like the floor was coming in, It gave me chronic back ache everytime I took it out and the worst was I lacked confidence driving it, It had a hell of a lot of grip but it was quite a hard car to figure out where the grip stopped and the hedge started hehe ! Caterham is a much more comfortable ride and almost feels more refined yikes

keeping the thread alive, sold my Caterham a few month ago and replaced it 2 weeks ago, unfortunatly weather has been shocking so havnt been out to get some decent pics so spent a few weeks minting it up when we were snowed in, gave it a full claybar down followed my a full machine polish and several coats of wax , only pics ive got are of it confined to the garage, hopefully more to come when sun comes out!

I WISH!

no only 10 of them are mine for car and kart racing but the rest are my 12 year old sons who races a Cadet go kart , he has won these over the last 18 months or so think he has 36 pots now and one more shield to collect for winning the tyne and wear championship at Warden law this year.
