As a lot of you guys and girls will know, I have arranged a few 'Supercar days' at The Dyvels, Corbridge.

Due to the increasing popularity of the gatherings I have decided to step up a gear and organise a show, it will be on Sunday 16th May 2010 and will be called Fastlane,

I have had to take over the entire Tynedale rugby club site so there will be a minimal charge to get in.

The show is to be aimed 100% at performance, already got Ferraris, Lamborghinis, porsche, Corvette's etc etc coming along, A full concours competition will take place and providing dates work out we should have the current Truck racing champion Stuart Oliver with his racing truck plus loads more,

Have a look at www.fastlaneshow.co.uk for more info, its still very early so any suggestions and entries welcome, feel free to PM me from the Fastlane site.

Firstly, Happy New Year to anyone I havent yet seen this year.

Now the New Year is here we have started taking bookings for Fastlane 2010, so far so good, loads of interest with some seriously interesting motors coming.

If you want to enter a club or simply an individual car you can now do so by visiting www.fastlaneshow.co.uk go to the Contacts page and click on Car Entry form.

Any questions just give me a shout here or via the site.

(By the way, I finally got my car back. it took from July 11th until a week before Christmas, but its back now)

Hi Rawky

With the style of the event changing this year, it is really for everyone, however there will be two parking areas, one for shall we say cars of interest which will be right at the side of the show and one for everything else.

I am sure that on the day any cars which have been booked in will be able to find there allocated space through out the rest of the morning,

We will encourage as many people to arrive on or as near to on time as possible,

We do understand that some people are travelling along way so times can be slightly flexible.

If anyone has any specific questions just drop me a mail

hi dave look forward to this again this year came last year with the ddk porsche group we had a good drive there and back, they was some nice cars to view, and food was ok. so lets hope the weather was the same as last year peter ps nice picture of my car on your show page
The selection of cars this year is looking like being certainly more than double, with the introduction of clubs such as Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Porsche Club UK among others.

Enter Fastlane 2010 into Facebook to keep up to date.

Were lucky that Corbridge is surounded by good driving roads, we get loads of clubs which use the pub throughout the summer before, during or after a country run.

Looking forward to seeing you again this year. remember to send your entry form in so we can issue passes.

Just had a look at the site. Looks good.

LOL @ the FTO Owners club though. I used to have one of them (as did you) I think we can both agree its no supercar. smile

Dan
I did like my FTO when I had it, cracking car, I was 20 at the time,

The site has been up dated with some more clubs, Im fairly sure they all fit the bill. Also had alot of individual interest.

Its amazing how people have started to notice that May is suddenly this year rather than next lol.

Yup, I liked mine too. Was also 20 at the time!

Have to say though, I thought yours was a monstrosity! biggrin I think your taste has improved a bit since then. thumbup

I will definitely pop along with the kids for a mooch about.

Good on you for organising all of this!

Dan
Not to sure about a monstrosity, it was certainly different, It was done at a time when the modified car scene had gone abit tame so it was very out there. Managed to win alot of shows with that car so it definatly served a purpose.

My Supra is still in my eyes the best car Ive owned, Granted Ive got my testa now but I could drive the Supra every day, never worry about will it get me home again, and to top it all the Supra was almost 500bhp when I sold it so pretty fit

I think everybody's taste change's, when I was 18 who would of thought that I would love an estate car of all things even if it has an RS4, RS6 or C63 badge lol

I shall definately be in attendance again.

As a minor question as you are doing clubs aswell as individuals this year are the clubs going to get all the best parking spots with the individual entries kicked over out the way!?
Morning After Shock, No that is not the case, All individual cars entered will be at the centre of the show, it may be that there are 2 or 3 areas where individual cars are placed but they certainly wont be out of the way. Just make sure you send in your entry form other wise due to the scale of this years event sadly you will be in the public parking.

You know where I am if you want to chat or have any questions,

Cheers,

David

The forms are arriving all the time now for Fastlane 2010,

Can I just remind everyone that due to the new format of the event all cars will need to be registered before the show, this is not just for concours entries.

This is so we can issue passes other wise you will end up in the car park rather than the show area.

Any questions just ask.

Cheers

Have to say I've heard rave reviews about the pub. A work colleague is a keen rambler and has been in a couple of times and come away very pleased!
Cheers for that, we do our best to please everyone, normally works until I loose concentration when a nice car pulls into the car park lol
