The alloys on my 2005 MINI are starting to leak badly - I've had the inner rims of two wheels cleaned up by Kwik-Fit but I know this is only a temporary fix. It's a shame that the outside of the wheels is almost unmarked.

Can anyone recommend a local workshop who can do a good complete refurb of my wheels? I simply want to drop off the car, leave it a couple of days, and collect it completed. I don't really have the facilities to remove the wheels and/or tyres to take them separately to a workshop.

I decided to go with Speedwell's, since I heard more good reports from friends in the Jap world, and also they were quite handy for me being on the Eastern side of Birmingham.

Very efficient, business-like and friendly; I was loaned a set of alloys (free) which were fitted when I arrived. I was phoned/mailed when the wheels were ready, I turned up and the loan wheels were swapped for my own. £40 per wheel I thought was ok.

Finish looks really good, I have no hesitation in recommending them (they were used by the "Wheeler Dealer" guys for their VW at the NEC show last year.

If there are any problems in future, be sure I'll post it!!

Again, many thanks for your contributions.
