Mansfield

Hi all,

A possible move to Mansfield may be on the cards. Are there any recommended (or not) areas to live and what's Mansfield like in general?

We would prefer south, south east of the town and don't need to be near any schools or anything.

Thank you for all your replies so far.

Budget wise, around £300k. There seems to be good value for money with some properties and I guess it's down to location as always.

Is there any areas to avoid at all costs?

The 300k is a maximum and depends if we sell or rent our current place. If we rent I'd be looking around the 200k mark.

Is Kirkby the same as Kirkby in Ashfield? I've noticed places in the latter seem cheaper than similar elsewhere and wondered if it is somewhere to avoid.
