Living around Rutland water

For many years have been coming up to Oakham and Stamford and really fancy moving here in the near future from Herts. Couple of places I've seen are Edith Weston and Manton right near the water but are there any other places worthy of thinking about preferably close to Rutland water? We don't need to be near schools or train links to London so no probs there just want a slower quieter pace of life with some decent views

No kids just a dog, due to selling up in St. Albans we do have a decent budget but decent houses seem to come up so rarely it seems. Looking for something quiet Ish with good views but near biggish places like Stamford or Oakham.

To be honest the prices seem good to me coming from St. Albans as its so bloody expensive here. Lake views obviously only come up rarely so hopefully the timing will be right when We actually can do it in a year or so.
