New job means i will have to relocate. My job is in Drotiwich but looking at surrounding areas Worcester seems like the place i'd like to go. I think i need to go on the A38 out of the city but obvious concern is traffic. Is it really as bad as a few reports i read albeit from a few years back?

Also anything else i should know about the place?

Edit: i looking at a central location

At the minute its what its like during rush hour, I've been a country bumpkin all my life so traffic usually involves being stuck behind a tractor for a few minutes :haha:

Google maps tells me it should take 20 minutes to leave potential new place where i'll live to work. But should i except to double the time it takes.

Sounds stupid what I'm asking looking back but i really don't fancy sitting in queues of traffic.

Interesting i was reading about the M5 causing the problems, i'll be renting to start with just to get sorted asap. So i may move to droitwich and get a feel for the area and decide in the future on what to do.
Its all a bit hectic at the minute.

Road works seem to be cause of the problems in the area.

I'm down on Saturday to have a look at a place in Droitwich, so will probably have wonder down to Worcester to give me more of an idea.

exciting times ahead.

A little update.
The other weekend i had a wonder down and found a nice place in Droitwich, also went into Worcester afterwards. Lovely place but i don't think i would want to commute everyday.

but....

I was made a much much better offer to stay where i am. Which means i no longer need to move. Its been a mad few weeks but ultimately happy with the way things have gone if a little unexpected.
