We have a 10-11yr old Mira shower (Advance memory I think), when you turn it on it drops into service mode, normally straight away.

Spoke to Mira this morning, they have quoted a fixed price service of £165.00! If it is deemed beyond economical repair there is 'only' a £76.00 call out fee!

Would much prefer to use a local indie plumber & if it saved a few quid then smiles all round biggrin

We are on the Eastern side of the City, not far from Digby Tesco/Middlemoor.

Have you tried cleaning all the holes in the shower head? Electric showers must have a constant flow to operate properly..esp. MIRA ADVANCE...Had the same with mine.
Changed the shower head quite recently so unlikely to be that sadly.

Don't want to change it, its an expensive shower & don't want to risk breaking any tiles. That could work out far more expensive.

Is it the modern grey case one or the older white case version?----8.7kw
White case, 10-11yrs old. It's a Mira Advance Memory.

Mira now booked for Monday 22nd, £165 ain't cheap but we need it working.

I have a collection of spares for these old girls, due to maintaining them for years and using one myself.
they are worth repairing, the new versions although similar are proving not to be as reliable...
Good Luck anyway, I would be interested in what the MIRA man says..
Thanks, I'll update on Monday when he's been.

They were keen to check on the phone that it wasn't a blocked head or twisted pipe or that SWW weren't digging up the pipes down the road, I guess a lot of people baulk at paying the call out when they find it's not actually the shower at fault!

Been today, replaced the relay board & flow valve apparently. Off to test it shortly :-)

Did you get it fixed up? I know of a very good plumber in Taunton who would travel down if that helps.
Yes thanks, see above smile
