Anyone fancy breakfast and a drive ?

I was thinking meet up at Route5 on Haldon Hill A38 near Exeter, next to esso petrol stn, opposite racecourse, at say 9.00/9.30 have some breakfast and then a drive out (to be decided on the morning depending on attendees). Home by lunchtime.

Let me know if your up for it - we can have an OJ and butty and pretend its bucks fizz and smoked salmon, to toast the new year in.

Might give eating at the Route5 a miss, ate there a couple times before and eat time it was awful, but happily turn up for coffee, chat and then a drive.
To be honest I had heard the same from early tripadvisor posts, but I went to another car meet there recently and it was certainly as good as the other 2 sites they own. Its never gourmet, but for bacon & eggs its good enough and the car park/access are useful for a group.

Does this mean more Horses?
No & Yes
Had a mechanical malfunction that needs a pricey and apparently rare part. Of course I have taken the opportunity to remap whilst its in the tuners.

Sorry kids, it looks like Santa's lost our post code!!!! yikes
Luckily my diff is ok, its just the hydraulic fluid electric pump and all its modules and relays that has failed as its positioned directly behind the back wheel for maximum corrosion. You just cant get any new ones except from Mitsubishi at astronomical prices

Weather is looking good, no frost tonight and 7degrees by 9am. Dry and light cloud.
No rain until Thursday.

I probably shouldnt of said that, you know what will happen now.

See you in the morning

Thanks to all that came along, I think we had over 20 people at breakfast !
A typical SWPH run really......
1 breakdown
1 trailer
1 gesticulating farmer
3 getting lost
10 hikers egging us on to go for it
15 cars need washing

Wishing you all a great new year
Giles
