Bridgwater advice

Hello all,

Considering a move to Bridgwater (relocating for work in Bristol and Exeter). Looking to rent.

What's the town like? Any PHers live nearby?

I know Devon and Exmoor well, but not this area.

Bridgewater is out then

I have to be about half way between Bristol and Exeter. Honiton is too far ( I do 12 hour shifts and I couldn't face 1+ hour drive either end of the day). The shifts do mean I do miss most of the rush hour traffic.

It can get busy during summer months but that's mostly just the town centre during the day, when the holiday makers go window shopping etc. Many of the holiday makers stay in Brean, especially at night, which is rammed most of the summer, but Burnham itself is usually only reasonably busy.

Each to his own, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else now. I have a 62 mile each way commute which I've been doing for the past 13 years, because I didn't want to move away. I also work shifts, so I often avoid the worst commuting times.
