Not sure if this is listed or on anyone's radar but they at long last have website. Well a website with real content.

http://www.pentilliefestivalofmotorsport.co.uk/

Slightly different to the 1st run a couple of years ago and more a rally than standard hill climb.
Still organised by PMC
Can we get it added to the SW events list please?

Cheers,
Chris

Yep I'm planning on going to this Chris. Not sure what to expect. The original was very good apart from the weather.
Good man. You going to Sherborne Sunday John? Think there could be a space in the PH parade possibly as Giles isn't going with the PH lot.

Is there any update on entries? Not long to go now.

Chris, I meant is there an updated entry list as I would like to go and spectate.
Hopefully it will be well supported.
Cheers
Steve
hi mate,

Try sending them an email. I don't think they will have one as it's not that common to broadcast the competitor list unless you are actually competing yourself and then you will get one. Well that how it has worked at the hill climbs I've been too so I doubt they will put one up on the site.

Yes, hopefully people will go along and support it. It has a good turn out 2 years ago even with the awful weather. I don't think it has been that well communicated this year and took too long to get information out and not in the right places either. If we don't support it, then there won't be another one....

Event now cancelled.... Apparently they didn't have enough time to organise permits and the like...

Thanks for the heads up Chris.

PS May need an Umbrella this Sunday.
Yes, I've just sent you an email. Fair weather only nowadays for the "L" so looks like we'll not be going unfortunately.
Typical isn't it most of week then rains one day and dry for another and the one day it rains is the Sunday.
I'll check again tomorrow evening and also on the morning but looking very doubtful.

Nothing wrong with coming in the other car ?
Well hoping for a run out in the Lambo. Sherborne probably one of my favourite events of the Year down this way.
Will take a "rain check" literally in the morning and see what we do tomorrow morning...
Hopefully see you there Giles.

LoL, Just received an e-mail from Purple Motion saying that tomorrow's event has been cancelled. Talk about couldn't organise a p##s up in a Brewery. Better late than never I guess. I do hope they get their act together for next year, this has all the ingredients to be such a great event.
How comes you got one then? I didn't! Did you already purchase tickets up front on-line?
Think I registered on the Pentillie site something like January and asked to be kept informed.
Funny enough, I didn't receive a thing.
I wonder if all the balls up is from within Plymouth Motor Club as it was when it ran that year?
Now they really are good at the proverbial brewery statement and they even have a gin distillery on their door step to practice. biggrin
Hope it gets sorted properly in good time for next year as you rightly point out it does have all the elements to be a top event and we don't have many events at all in Cornwall so would be great to see and it do really well too.
