Right then. There seems to be some interest in having another Tunnel Run.

I should be available for most weekends in August, so let's see who else is available (knowing it's summer holidays) and take it from there....

I haven't forgotten this.

Definitely won't happen this weekend. I'll update the table later to remove this weekends dates and will see if there's any other interest for the other dates over the weekend and I'll confirm a date on Sunday.

As usual, life has gotten in the way and I now have a family party to go to on 20th which is currently the most popular date.

As it appears not many people are available over the bank holiday weekend (and we always have a last minute drop out or 2), we'll get a date for this in the diary for September.
Hopefully people will be back from holidays etc by then and we may have some more interest, if not we'll just go with the best date for most of you.

Given that everyone can do the 25th so far, it would seem like the best choice?
More than likely will be looking at the list. Just waiting for a couple of others to post as I know they're interested....I'll give them a nudge on the FB page now.

As Morgs says. We usually start around 4/5pm and finish up in a PH friendly pub just north of Bristol around 6:30/7pm. Depending on the amount of regrouping due to traffic and how much fun we have in our favourite tunnel smile

OK, 25th Sept it is then.

I've updated the table below and have added names, also so I can let the pub know roughly how many of us will be turning up.

Plan will be to start around 4:30pm from the bottom of the M32. I'll do a trial run the weekend before to double check the route, as we know Bristol loves closing roads and putting in 20mph zones! Once that's done I'll confirm exact start time/location etc.
For those who've not been on one before, I don't put route details or too much information on here so that we don't get loads of random boy racer clubs turn up. I'll have printed copies of the route which I'll hand out on the day, and if needed I can write a tomtom file to send out. If you'd like any more info beforehand drop me a PM.

Does anyone know what's happening film wise?
I remember an excellent video on YouTube from last year, I don't know who it was.
No official plans for photos/filming. Some of us just grab pictures/video along the way. Last year's video was GoPro footage from The Chav.

Thanks for updating the table Rob.

I've been out tonight to check the route around the centre....all looks OK, fingers crossed it stays that way.

For those who'll be travelling from the south side of Bristol....please bear in mind that it's also the Bristol Half Marathon on Sunday, so you may still find some roads are closed, or that traffic might be worse over that side.

If everyone turns up, this will be one of the biggest yet!

Plus with this amount of cars it looks like I'm going to need a couple of helpers.... does anyone with knowledge of the previous runs or a good knowledge of Bristol fancy helping?

Thank you all for coming along. Today was most probably the best turn out we've had for a long time.

I think we only lost a couple along the way, and only 1 breakdown which wasn't a porsche for a change smile

Just wanted to say thanks for organising such a great event! Shame about getting lost to start with! But overall it was a great way to spend an afternoon, looking forward to the next one.
It wouldn't be the same if no one got lost or broke down smile
