Southbourne - Winchester Commute??????

As per the title, anyone here commute (or commuted in the past) from Southbourne to Winchester and willing to give some feedback as to what its like?

I occassional commute from Canford cliffs/Sandbanks to Southampton (girlfriend) and that takes 50mins to an hour.

I've just driven into Southampton from Bournemouth and have been wincing at the state of the traffic heading down to Ringwood!

Not sure how I will be able to deal with the extra miles to winchester.
