Day out with two year old - Dorset

Evening all,

I've got a day free on Saturday and planning on taking a friend and their two year old out for the day, however I'm st at knowing what is suitable for kids.

Ideally I'm looking for somewhere in Dorset, but closer to Poole the better.

So far I'm thinking

Monkey world - not been here for years, is it worth it? Friends daughter loves monkeys so I think this is looking good.

Farmer Palmers - again not been for years, she likes animals so could be good?

Moors Valley - I just seem to remember it was a play area and somewhere to wall, unless this has changed?

Also been told about Upton Park, I was told there has been some play things added?

Possiblely Brownsea Island, but friend has a few health problems so unsure if it's wise to be stuck on an island.

Does anyone know of any events going on? Understand that Christchurch has some kind of carnival going on, is there anything else?

Cost wise, if adults can get in for under £15 each that would be brilliant.

It's going to be a little surprise for them both. Bit of a st month and want to cheer them (mainly the mum ) up.
