Finally getting there and looks like it will be ready. Looking forward to getting back out and seeing some nice cars, been about 4 - 5 yrs since I've been to any events as buying a house, work etc... took over my life a bit!

I plan on going to wilton house, any others that I shouldn't miss?

Wow that looks great, any more information on it? Although I'd leave off a rear wing myself. You also have Goodwood breakfast club, meon hut meets do people still attend a pub club in the new forest?
It's a kitcar Ive been building on a tubular chassis. The rear wing won't be on when sprayed but prepared in case I want to fit it (with some modifications). A new forest meet sounds perfect as I'm based bournemouth / poole area and would like to get some miles under the belt before some really long drives.

Afternoon!

I organise the Monthly meets down at the Kitchen club. I've been loosely following your build and yet I never knew you were Bournemouth based. I'm round the corner too, would love to come have a look.
Hi,
I've heard of your car (we used the same recovery truck guy) and seen some pictures on here, I'm based in Poole. Once the exterior is done and i've actually got a chance to get rid of the niggles I'll be out without any hesitation (unless working on the interior refit V2). I'm actually away for the whole of March so not even going to get to drive it till April, but hopefully the weather will of turned!

For a Kit I think that looks great. At first I thought it was an F1. Lol

What engine you put in.
Can u give some more details like running gear, breaks, performance etc.
The engine currently is a 3S-GTE at about 290BHP. One of the reasons is to qualify for an age related plate so the car isn't on a Q plate. Long term i'll be going to a 2GR-FE engine (may supercharge in future but not immediately) with about 325bhp and torque to match which will give it plenty of punch. Its a shame the tubular chassis is so 'American' and big and bulky. Way over engineered.

Brakes - I've gone with 4 pot calipers up front on 324mm discs and rear calipers with built in handbrake mechanism at the rear on a 323mm disc. the brake balance bar allowed me to get a good balance ( surprising that lol)

Performance - Well no official figures but my dial system does have a built in quarter mile / 0-60 features. The online calculators estimate it to be about 4.5secs. which is fine with me, when your bum is 6inchs off the floor 30mph seems fast!

I'll be fitting softer springs once I get it back, the coilovers with the current spring set just made it to hard in my view.

Wow. Been following this on twitter. Absolutely superb. Out of interest, and i know its a crass subject but how much roughly have you sunk into it.
Being the first I always had to break some ground and some piggy banks. I try to weigh up the costs against ultimas, Cobras and GT40 replicas being a lot more to build (although yes with larger engines). Also it was the fact I wanted to be the first to do something and the challenge.

You could build it for the price of a new ford focus RS basically.
