Hi, I am having an exhaust custom made for my competition car this week and need to ensure the car comes in under 100db. I was going to buy a cheap meter on Ebay but they all seem to only offer accuracy of plus or minus 1.5db. Does anyone have an accurate one I could borrow? Thanks

Thanks, I have used one before. As we are trying to design a short exhaust on a very loud car with a very strict 100db limit, I really need something more accurate though. It will be a real sod to pay for a rally, turn up and then fail noise. I've had issues before and it's not a good experience!

Hey Notax did you get this sorted? If not I have one you can use
Thanks, I have bought a DB meter now. Thy all state that they are accurate to plus/minus 1.5DB but I thought it was worth getting. The new car is almost finished so I may get to test it this weekend smile

Hi Lee, it has taken a bit longer to get the car ready to test than planned! By coincidence I reminded my mechanic about it today. Very happy to meet up at my unit in Whiteparish to compare cars and meters! Please drop me and email and we'll try and arrange a good time.
