Best areas with good schools in Manchester

Further to my last post about good areas to live in Greater Manchester, i have come to conclusion that it would be very difficult for us to live in Prestwich as schools are not that good in this area.

I have looked at the other side of Manchester west Didsbury, Stretford and Altrincham and i think area and school wise Altrincham is far better than others. Please do correct me if i am wrong, i just saying as per my online research.

We are planning to rent on long term basis and our budget is around £950.

Does anyone know about good areas to live in Altrincham (near schools and amenities), are there any areas to avoid?

Please do let me know if there are any other good areas with good schools.
