All that waffle above, by the way, is what he's been sending to forum webmasters etc - he's just sent it over to me and asked me to spread the word!

(hence why it looks a bit advertisy!)

Hi Benny - can see your point. I asked my mate the same. He said the site owner is making him leave a deposit to cover the cost of any damage. Apparently, there was a meet there once and some fencing got damaged and he was left to foot the bill.

He's also hoping that he can make a good donation to a charity, Little Hearts matter - off the back of this, and is hoping to treat it almost as a charity meet. He doesnt want to advertise the fact too much at this stage though, as if only 5 cars turn up - it's not going to be anything too much for the charity to be excited about, whereas if 200 or so turn up and he can give £1.50 per car then, the it's a different story.

Kosta - Evo's would be good!

Righto - spoken to my mate who's organising this. He completely understands the synicism associated with his first snippet of info and so is revising it.

He's since spoken to the charity and has told them it might not make them millions but has agreed he'll give it ago.

The charity is Little Heats Matter, http://www.lhm.org.uk , and Kevin from LHM the charity has said that he'll be in attendance.

He's going to allow entry for £2 per car - with all monies going straight to the charity - on the premise that if anyone breaks a fence or crashes into a bin - they do the decent thing and own up and pay for it!

Should be a good do.

£2 to get in, a few quid for a bacon butty and a brew - so, a fiver or so for a decent morning with like-minded folks looking at some nice motors!

I'm in!

Would you like a presence of Evolutions?

What other sort of cars will be going? smile
No idea Kosta - i know he's invited a few different forums. He's been with me up to Cars in the Park and i think is targeting the big players from up there who always have a good turn-out - likes of the TVR and Renault Sport guys - but i think anyone's welcome. He's invited the Volvo Car club too who are probably more 'classic' than 'performance' but i think as long as it's worth a look at, it's worth coming along!!

Racing Snake - great stuff - you staying local? Saw the 'For sale' board up.

All - With regards who's been approached regarding this event, i know he's keen to promote to a similar crowd to the likes of Cars in the Park. There will probably be a couple of slightly chavved Imprezas - BUT (bear with me!), i know he's also emailed the folks at the owners clubs for the likes of TVR, Morgan, Ariel, Lambo Club UK etc etc - so hopefully a bit more sportscar and exotica. The likes of the Renault Sport guys and VXR guys have been invited too - but they tend to be newer cars. Ok, there may be the older Clio 172s - but the younger lads more tempted to put on the chavvy lights and boom boom stereos cant afford to run/buy/insure the Corsa/Astra/Vectra/Monaro VXRs or Megane R26r's etc!

It'll be set up a bit like CITP i think too - so it won't be a case of parking in whatever order it is that you come in to the place in. I think people will stick together a little bit, be it by make/model or by club/forum etc.

Kosta - great work - see a few Lancers are interested!

I'm helping my mate Rob out big-style with this now as he's busy with work - and have spoken to a car mag today who are keen to help promote it. They're actually part of a bigger group of mags so should be a good do.

been ages since i been here... last time i dont remember leaving!!! and a massive firefight was going off in the bar area!!! Very good venue with plenty of room.
They let customers have a go at duelling or whatever the cowboys call it. Will see if they can sort something for that date.

Sider,

Any ideas on the numbers so far? So far i've got 20 Evos with their names down... a fair few from north of the border!

Do we know what clubs are going yet?
Well, at present we have the following:

- Kosta's 20 or so Evos
- Approx 15 on here
- Another 13 or so on the fb group - with 5 confirmed
- A further 10 or so that i know of

So approx 50-60.

BUT, it's early days yet - plus, i think a lot are waiting for Christmas to pass to before making plans.

We got a 'Show preview' going in to a couple of mags for release early/mid Jan, which i think will get a lot more.

Club Lotus are also doing a bit of something on their site/mag for us.

Myself and the guy from Lambo Club UK keep missing each other on the phone, and the nice lady at Porsche Club UK has been out of the office most of the week.

One other 'luxury sports GT' brand club wanted to charge for an ad and couldnt get their head round the fact that i was merely inviting their members!

Hoping for a few Fezzas too via various sources.

It's still 10 weeks off yet - so bear with me! I'll let you all know early Feb if it's going to be a quiet one - particularly you Kosta so that you can let your guys who are coming a long way know.

I'm confident that we'll get good numbers though!

If we're going to get a good attendance, the Unity Media mag lads might be coming up and doing a feature - so that will be the likes of Performance VW, Performance BMW, Retro Cars, Banzai, Performance Car etc etc!!

Attendance going up nicely!

(Can any of those posting on other forums keep an eye there and give me an idea of numbers nearer the time please? so that we can look to keep groups together in terms of parking space!)

Cheers y'all!
